Using Moodle 3.1
It’s not that many students so I am willing to go through them one by one, but it is very important to get detailed and accurate reports on them.
Exact time is the key word here (not sure if there is even a way to do this)
Would be very helpful to see the ip address for each session. So I can separate “real” sessions from the ones I do when I test accounts (I double-check them when I create them).
Seeing time spent on each activity would be awesome.
I have tried several things but all of them give an estimate as far as I understand. (Please correct me if I am wrong on anything I am writing here.):
Originally I used to calculate it with Logs: by looking at the logs of a particular user, calculating the time between logging in and logging out/hours of inactivity/logging in for each session and add up the sessions. That takes a while, but from what I understand it gives the closest estimate.(still an estimate)
Attendance Register activity (same result as Dedication block): definitely works (after running cron), but gives an estimate. And doesn’t show the IP address used.
Configurable reports plugin: could not get it to work. Seems like it’s unable to access the database. Trying to work this out now.
Any better way to do this?
