Hi all,
We are committed to providing open source, free e-learning tools for educators. That’s why all our software is free and open source, and this will never change. Hundreds of thousands of institutions have downloaded and are using Moodle on their own servers worldwide.
MoodleCloud is one of our official hosting services that makes it simple for anyone to get a Moodle site without needing to install it on a local server. Since 2015, MoodleCloud has provided a number of simple packages for smaller users, including a 50-user Free plan with 200Mb.
Announcement 1: New free trial with larger quotas
We are happy to announce the launch of a new MoodleCloud Free Trial with four times more users (200) and double the storage (400 MB). Everyone will be able to use their MoodleCloud Free Trial for 45 days before deciding to move to one of our inexpensive paid plans.
Announcement 2: NGO and nonprofits program
As part of our mission we are now offering our larger MoodleCloud plans completely free to registered NFPs and NGOs. All you need to do is apply here, and if accepted, we will give you a full-size MoodleCloud plan for no cost. Costs are subsidised by donations we've received.
Does this replace the existing free plan?
Yes! This new Free Trial upgrades and replaces our old Free plan (that expires if unused for 14 days).
Will people keep their existing MoodleCloud free sites?
Yes! Sites currently on the old Free plan will remain unchanged (so long as you use them at least once every 14 days!).
Your support is welcome
If you, or someone you know, would like to make a donation towards paying for deserving institutions to have free MoodleCloud sites, please visit moodle.com/donations.
Thanks, and happy Moodling!
