I am hoping someone can explain, better than the embedded Moodle, notes the different feedback categories for a quiz. There is specific, general and overall feedback, most of which I think you set up during quiz creation. What is most confusing to me is when I am grading the answers it says "comment"?? Is the comment even considered one of these feedback categories or is it a fourth type.
Basically, I want the students to see the words I type into the comments box when doing manual grading or override. I can't tell if this will show regardless of which type of feedback is selected under the review options? And if automatically shown, do instructor comments appear only if the quiz is closed and the attempt is allowed to be viewed?
PS I already have read this - nothing is ever mentioned about "comments"Specific feedback Will show the feedback for the response to the answer as set when adding the question to the quiz. Each response to a question can have feedback for both correct and incorrect answers. General feedback Displays the general feedback for the whole question as set when adding the question to the quiz. You can use the general feedback to give students some background to what knowledge the question was testing. Right answer Reveals the correct answer to each question, whether the student answered correctly or not (See note below). Overall feedback Displays feedback for the entire quiz as set in the quiz settings (See note below).
