Text files optional fields and LDAP

Kind of "mix" here with our users creation methods: We have an LDAP server for username and password validation but it does not provide the course names for them. In a few months we will have a complete LDAP+Oracle validation-enrolment solution, but in the meantime ...  I need to know if there is an optional field in the text files used for user data upload for the validation method. That way the first time the users enter moodle they will be enroled in their courses but the validation method will continue being LDAP.

Hola Miren,

if you have a look at the 'Upload Users' help screen, you will see that you can specify an 'auth' field your your users. Just add that field, and specify 'ldap' as the value for each user and you are done smile

Ok, it seems the Spanish translation of the help file for the version you are using (1.5.2) doesn't mention that filed ('auth') but is fully supported.
