I was trying to get this setup for teachers. https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=399990
Idea was to create a report that detailed the user interactions with particular questions independent of the module through which those questions were accessed from. This is a great way for teachers to keep tabs on which questions students find easy and which ones stump them irrespective of what type of module they use to access it ( eg. quiz, a "shuffled" quiz, adaptive quiz, game modules etc. ). As I started digging into the SQL databases and reading through the source code of the quizventure game, I realized that this type of question centric design might not be possible. The game simply calls the DB to get questions and then has its own tables it maintains that it adds just final scores to. I might have to create a separate table that gets called everytime a user interacts with a choice in any of the question based resources/activities. I figured I'd create entries with these things - epochtime, userid, qid, attemptid, ans response, response_correct, time elapsed since answers rendering ( in case we choose to delay answers showing up to allow time to read question properly ). I'm super new to moodle and not much of a developer. I wanted to see if anyone would be willing to help set something like this which could be posted back to the forum for others to implement when they create new resources that use questions. Multiple conversations with teachers have reinforced that it would be a really useful feature to make pedagogical decisions on a day to day basis. Maybe there is already a way to do this that I'm not aware of.
