My dear! If you ask me, the (proposed) release 3.9 has so much new features, it is the release 4.0! Why is a redone UX makes a major-major release? (Remember how Linux kernel version 5 was born? https://linux.slashdot.org/story/18/04/16/1411259/linus-torvalds-says-linux-kernel-v50-should-be-meaningless ;)
