Did you enter the API details from your paid Zoom account?

the problem was that I didn't activate the zoom account of the email I was using to add zoom to Moodle
once I activated by clicking the link sent from zoom, it worked

I'm trying to set up Zoom for the first time. The person who owns the Zoom account is not participating in this Moodle. The first time around I tried to set up the API with my email address, and got told that there was an email mismatch. Then (on Zoom) I changed the email address to that of the person who owns the Zoom account, and got told Moodle couldn't find my account on Zoom. Now I'm here seeking clarity.

Is it the case that the person who is setting up the course must also be the person who has the Zoom account? We want to share one Zoom account across everybody. Surely there must be a way.
