I am in Beijing now - home bound because of virus situation. I would like to use Moodle to create tutorials and activities for the students to use to study. Most students - I am talking about 12-15 year olds - do not have an email address. They all use wechat now to communicate. I can put a dummy address in to create the account, students can change their password themselves on the first log in, but I KNOW that they are going to forget their passwords. Is there a way around this? Is there a plugin that allows students to use their mobile phone to recover a password? Not sure if this question belongs in security or plug-ins. Please move it if it will help!
Email is a pretty strong identity in the internet. If they use android or iOS they have an email to access the app store. I recommend to instruct them to identify and use it. I'm relatively new to Moodle so I can't help with specific plugins. Good luck. 😄
