I am looking for a solution wherein I want once the student once completes the quiz it should become unavailable for further attempts.
However the quiz has unlimited attempts to complete the same.

You may be able to do this using Activity completion and Restrict access settings. Something like this:
- Set the quiz to be complete when the student achieves a passing grade.
- Set the quiz to be hidden once the quiz is complete.
You will need to do some experiments to see if it is possible to make this general idea work.
