In newer versions of Moodle this is possible on the dashboard. Not aware of anything native that would allow this on the course category page.
or pin course _x to be shown on the top dashboard whatever the courses the student enrolled into ?
I have defined a new category called "SITE COURSE" with a course named "FUN".
I want that to be appear in user's dashboard all the time.
If that is not possible, I want to put the category on top of all categories even in the future where I create newer categories (next semesters).
Administration> Appearance> Default Dashboard page
add a HTML Block on top and put in it whatever you want
then reset dashboard for all users
here this CME and free certificate is category of free courses
ithe user click on the image or the "CME and free certificate"
will open the category
here i use a very simple html(a single image with a link ) but you can make it more better ,using mulble links , even videos .....)
>>you mean pin course_x on top of category Cat_B , course_y on top of category Cat_C .... ?
is what I am looking for. The case is that we have different categories for the depending subjects. We like to have a course for example "general information" pinned on the top. Like you can do with pinned topics in a forum.
You have any idea how to manage that?
arrange courses as you like
if you want to highlight on or more
copy the link of that course
and inthe category description , put the link( for better view , put the samr image of the course and put the link on this image)
