Hi,

i had thsi kin of filters around data in ours plugin, im trying to use moodle form elements in this form, it is possible to use it in my own functions, for example i just need to use date_range element in html.

Quick suggestion:  The form classes are declared in the lib/form/ so you might be able to use the relevant class
