Greetings, I'm trying to delete some unused files from my MoodleCloud repository, they are no longer inserted in any of the forums or courses, but I'm unable to delete them when I go to to the Files tab the files there is no way of deleting them
You've stumbled upon a moodlism! To remove those files, you need to go to the forum where they were created (this one, I think), then in the atto text editor for the introduction there is a button labelled "Gestionar ficheros" (it's next to the H5P button on the right). From there you will get a modal that let's you remove the orphaned files.
Worked like a charm!!
Please go ahead and make a MoodleCloud support ticket with as much information as possible (including screenshots) so we can better help you with this one.
I have the same issue. I uploaded a video file to a course page. Then I deleted it. Still shows as taking up space in my file allocation.
I have several of these, actually. They are deleted from the pages but still show up in the storage.
It makes no sense that there is no file management system in MoodleCloud. It should be simple to just open files and delete them if they are unused.
I'm going to be stuck to update my course until this is resolved. I'm right at my storage limit with just a few of these.
Thanks for the help.
