Competencies

You can only create relationships between a Parent and its children within the same competency framework. The limitations of the parent-child relationships makes the setup challenging and hard to manage if there are any changes to the competency structure in the future. I set them up in an attempt to resolve the busy competency view of the Learning plan page for the student/instructor. They did not. I abandoned the concept -

Arrange all of your children under one parent.

Select the parent,

Select the Edit>dropdown list.

Select Competency Rule

Select the desired Outcome value.

Select the Save button.

At the course level only the children are related, and awarded by courses activities.

Since you have to add all of the children, you did not save an administration steps (clicks).
