OP requested some assistance with a Moodle 3.8.1 hosted with OVH shared hosting which greatly limited what could be done. Decision by OP and myself to then acquire a VPS with OVH - Debian - Plesk (not my first choice) and it's been a 'learning experience'.
IF anyone does host with OVH, have you found their helpdesk turn-around time to be seriously lacking? Am determined to set up this new instance right from the get go ... server will have valid Certs and be installed and maintained by git so OP will not have to do updates/upgrades the old way (which, historially, has been problematic for the OP and has led to corruption of many audio files in an English Learning site).
Which brings me to a comment and suggestion for community info on 'where's the best place to host a moodle' (secondary to MoodleSpaces and Moodle Partners, of course) ...
The hosting provider of a Moodle can be determined if an OP registers their Moodle with Moodle HQ/Sites. Wouldn't it be nice to have the top 10 DIY hosting providers as gathered from registered sites?
This assumes one puts faith in the masses!
