I don't know if this has been mooted before....
As the plugins DB (moodle.org/plugins/index.php) is for 'free' plugins at the moment and as there are other well known 'Stores' out there containing both free and paid for plugins / apps. Then why not Moodle?
- MHQ manages it (admin etc.) and takes a cut.
- Developers are 'authors' and get a percentage.
- Plugins can both be free and have premium feature versions.
The same business model as a book with an author and a publisher. Thereby MHQ receives more income and so do developers to support the work they contribute.
Thoughts please .
