As mentioned below, the site will need to be served over https - if you can use it, then I am presuming that your site is set up with https but it could be that your students are not using https in the url and that is causing the issue. The most obvious answer could be exactly what the error message says though - their browser does not work with WebRTC - what devices/browser are they connecting from? Try switching to Chrome or Firefox...
