we are planning to host moodle expected users will be 5000 and concurrent users will be 2000 approximately.
Questions:
1. Moodle supports these many numbers of concurrent users or not.
2. If it supports what is the hardware configuration I have to provide.

Moodle support for 2000 concurrent users
Number of replies: 3Re: Moodle support for 2000 concurrent users
You need to define 'concurrent'. E.g. number of different users who will click a link on the site within a 5-minute window; or number of requests per second.
That sounds like a number that is quite manageable.

Hi
This is a frequent question. Did you go through previous discussions? For example,
- Hardware /performance suggestion
- Preparation, Requirements and Scalability (there are further links in them).
And the forum documentation: https://docs.moodle.org/en/Performance and https://docs.moodle.org/en/Performance_FAQ ?

It also depends on what these users will be doing. Run a pilot of whatever it is you want to do and closely monitor system performance.
