Hello everybody!

I found myself having issues with the sound player in moodle 3.8, when I embed it in an activity and link it to a chirbit sound file. At first I thought maybe moodle and chirbit were incompatible, but I tried with soundcloud and the same happens.  The player greys out and you can't play the file.  Am I missing something?

Hello - I have never heard of Chirbit, so I just googled and it seems you need an account to use it. Do you have any file you could upload to here, if not too private, so we can see?

Hi Mary! Yes, you need an account on chirbit to upload stuff but not to listen to it. Here's the link to one of my audios (Beauty and the Beast prologue). When I use this link in the player, it goes grey and won't play any files.
