Relaunching an old discussion.

I perfectly understand that files should not be embedded because users need to login to access them.

But... announcement can not forever stay "media free". What was understandable in 2004 might have evolved, as our communication has.

Could we maybe revote for allowing embedded images in announcement so that emails sent to users can include some visuals?

Maybe with a slight faded alert like the "draft saved":

• "people might not see this image on certain devices" or
  
• "the image will be sent by mail and can be forwarded outside your primary audience"...
