Hi, im using moodle 3.7.3.

I have a problem. The notifications on my site are not working.

When i enroll a user to a course i would like them to get a notification.

I have tried several thing that i tought migth send out a notification, like changing roles, adding to a cohort or  enrolling them to a course. But whatever I do, the notifications tab always stays empty and says "You have no notifications". I even tried enabeling all of the notification settings but still nothing.

I really hope someone can help me, because it is really hard to notice anything otherwise.

I am running the main moodle cron job every 2 min

Thanks

Frank

Notifications are not working for me either - they were when I was on 3.5.7 - after upgrading to 3.7.2, I DO get notification emails but not Moodle Notifications. I'm not sure what to check.

Do you have any idea how to escalate this to get an answer? Notifications are an important part for the functioning of Moodle.

Are you self hosted? I found that there were ad-hoc cron tasks being blocked by a task that wasn't running correctly. Clearing this helped my notifications to star coming through again.

I have ISP hosted web-server. What did you need to change exactly?
My adhoc settings are below. Im running the main cron job every 2min, is there any scheduled tasks i should enable or check?

Check for any failed tasks / adhoc tasks here:  Site administration - ServerTasks - Task logs

Will give you an idea on what to look for

The only failed tasks are from "Predict models". Can that be related?

Hi

Do you have any evidence that your Moodle is sending any emails?
If yes, then the issue is with specific notifications, and the Trigger plugin may be useful.
If no, then you need to check the whole email sending stack, in which case the Email Test plugin may be useful (https://moodle.org/plugins/local_mailtest)
