Moodlemoot UK & Ireland 2020

I was looking through the upcoming events on moodle.com recently and found an entry for Moodlemoot UK & Ireland 2020. The entry links to the moodlemoot.ie website rather than moodlemoot.org/mootieuk, which is still showing this years event.

I was just curious if there was a reason for this? Up until recently I've been keeping an eye on moodlemoot.org for any updates for next years Moot.

Hi Ross and thanks for your interest in keeping up to date with all our moodlemoots!
Our HQ team is in the process of streamlining the MoodleMoot.org website into Moodle.com. This enables us to promote all our events as well as our latest offerings on our corporate website from 2020.
The latest MoodleMoot UK & Ireland 2020 is now an official moot which is run by a member of our community (ie, Gavin Henrick), as opposed to an HQ-run moot.

Yes, the moodle.com now has a great event listing where each of the Moots will be listed - but the external individual moodlemoots - like Moodlemoot UK & Ireland 2020 are mostly on their own sites - moot are mostly spread across a few sites - portal, registration, abstract proposals.

As it happens, moodlemoot.ie was used 3 times in the last decade for other Moodlemoots too.

So after fours years in the UK, this year we are back to Dublin and then will be heading to UK again.
