Re: hints is opened in new page after updated 2..9.1 to 3.5.9
What theme? What version of the theme?
Is it compatible with your version of Moodle?
Re: hints is opened in new page after updated 2..9.1 to 3.5.9
shoehorn that is a customized version. in child theme. no it's not compatible moodle 3.5.9.
Re: hints is opened in new page after updated 2..9.1 to 3.5.9
"no it's not compatible moodle 3.5.9" OK - there's the issue then.
In fact Shoehorn support only goes to Moodle3.1, and its Bootrap3 parent theme is also only supported to 3.1. I would suggest implementing a theme compatible with your version of Moodle and testing then (Either one of the built in core themes or one of the other 3rd party plugins - Gareth who built the Shoehorn theme has several others which may be suitable for you).

Hi Maneesh,
I'm not sure I can add anything more than Richard has already stated. I stopped Shoehorn development in 3.1, therefore core changes since are likely to break it, as I suspect you have found out. If you could update to Moodle 3.7 then feel free to try my Foundation theme. As I'm an impartial moderator, I will state that there are lots of other themes available too: moodle.org/plugins/browse.php?list=category&id=3.

Re: hints is opened in new page after updated 2..9.1 to 3.5.9
Hi Maneesh - I really think you have gone about this the wrong way. You have downgraded your Moodle to an unsupported version which no longer receives security updates or any kind of support, either from HQ or from plugin developers.
You really do need to look at upgrading to a supported version of Moodle and selecting an appropriate theme which supports that version.

Hi Maneesh,
I've not even looked at the code in Shoehorn for years and don't currently have an environment upon which to run it. Therefore I'm not currently in the position to advise without spending time. At the moment (and for the foreseeable future) I have no requirement to spend that time or need to look at the Shoehorn code.
