Is it possible to get some kind of permalink to a database entry?

I have a database that we use a "self help guide" for staff and in it we have some self-help guides that link to other entries in the database. Having checked this today it appears as if the links to the guide (for example /mod/data/view.php?d=10&rid=91&filter=1 ) the rid field changes is an entry is un-approved in the database...

This has broken our links a little... What would be the best way of linking two database entries without the links getting broken if a different entry in the database is deleted?

Cheers,
Jon

Ummm... As usual find the answer shortly after posting the question!

I have Database auto-linking turned on in the course Filters; so just putting the name of the database entry rather than pasting the link seems a better way to go...
