We have a windoze IIS copy of Moodle that uses ldap to authenticate against an active directory. Decided to move to a linux box and everything works aside from ldap authentication. Using exactly the same settings as the IIS version, LDAP test settings works fine but the moment a user tries to log in an error is saved in the logs:
Login failed for user 'p-y19.temp'. Most likely the password did not match (error ID '3').
The same user can log in fine on the windoze hosted Moodle.
I think I have tried everything now so any help or advice would be great. Is there a way of increasing the logging level or any other tests I can perform?
