my moodle session folder contain more sessions than my user number, is it normal ?

hi,


i discover may moodledata/sessions/ folder contains more sessions files  than i have users.

is is normal ?

my backup-time is longer, can i and how can i clean the session file without risk ?

Yes - sessions are not related to users. A user who logs in on two different devices (for example) will create two sessions.

There is no need to backup the sessions folder. It contains no information useful to restore a site. The only 'moodledata' directory you *have* to backup is 'filedir'; you can live without all the others.
