As it was pretty urgent for me, I solved it by:
- using an the latest version of your patch I could find, to try to install it in version 3.7.2;
- didn't worked on IIS(patching the files failing)
- used a unix-based machine to install Moodle 3.7.2, where I was able to successfully patch the plugin(made 2 clones).
- copied the 2 new clones on the Windows server
- installed them as a normal plugin
- fixed a warning.. can't remember what, but nothing significant
