Any help will be appreciated, I would like ti trace learners activity in Moodle by Using their Registration numbers as username while logging in rather than email address. Their Registration numbers go in this format: el/com/0123/12.

I would also like to know how I can remove navigation panel on front page to remain with a logo and login form.

For the first, not sure that is possible, well, I have never considered it but it may be possible. You may have to hack core code, but that is not a good idea.
As for the second part, much easier, change your theme or even create a new theme altogether. With the Boost theme and Bootstrap, you can do an awful lot more than you used to be able to, you can open some things hide others. You might want to look at this MoodleDoc on themes before you start anything.
