This is a problem with my computer in conjuction with Moodle but I can't replicate it on another computer. Maybe you can help.
For new quizes or pages, I go through the process of finding a sound file, uploading it and I can even play it in the Insert Moodle Media box but after I insert the file in the 'quiz' or 'page' box, it shows only the name of the sound file (which I can download and play) but not the player. I have tried different search engines unsuccessfully.
If I duplicate a quiz with a sound file from past quizzes that work well, I can insert new sound files and they work perfectly; this only happens with newly created resources.
I can't fix a particular time or event after which this happened; I can go for periods without uploading new material.
