You still talk about CN and OU. OU is for linux LDAP. If you use linux ldap, every folder in the tree is like organization unit OU basically..
But If you have MS AD, in the tree you have Users folder. And this User folder is CN not OU.

CN=Peter Holy -> this is only name, not login
parameter samAccountName is login -> peter.holly
CN=Users -> this is default settings in AD, if you don't create new Organization Unit for example People
