Quiz reports via Cohort?

Hi all,

We were wondering if it's possible to run a report via Cohorts for Quizzes.
Currently when we run reports we get all the users in the selected courses however, we don't know in which cohort they are in. We would have to manually add on the Excel sheet which takes quite a long time.

Is there a method to doing this?

Hi Seb,

Sync your cohorts to groups in the course.
You can then filter your quiz report by group.

Hi Seb,

Sure. Here's a high level instruction:

  • Go to the course page that the quiz is on.
  • Go to the enrolment methods of that page (Course administration > Users > Enrolment methods).
  • I am assuming from your original question that your participants are enrolled by cohort sync.
  • Go to the settings of one of those cohort syncs (see screenshot)
  • On the 'Add to group' dropdown, Create a new group, save your change.
  • Do this for each cohort.
  • Now go to the settings of your quiz. 
  • Scroll down to 'Common Module Settings'.
  • Set the Group Mode to 'visible groups' and save your change.
  • Now go to the quiz report page. In the top left you will now see a dropdown list of the groups in your course. Choose a group to filter your report by that group.
