Brief summary: We want to transfer over 2000 users to our moodle website. They wan't to authentication using Active Directory (LDAP). Is there a third party software that will configure and manage the authentication, or is this something that can be done manually?
There is a command line ldap sync script that can be run once LDAP setup and checked.
Comments about setting up LDAP auhentication in moodle ... if being lazy and using just the top level domain (OU's) like OU somedomain OU net and depending a great deal of how the AD/LDAP is setup organized, etc. if one doesn't check, one could end up with 1000's of accounts in Moodle which are junk ... printers, other resources, etc.
Make sure you find the OU's, etc. for InternetSchema in the AD and use those to test **before** attempting sync.
If Moodle server not on same network as AD/LDAP server, networking and firewalls are involved so check and get networking working first.

Any special reason why you are looking for a third party script where there is one in the core: https://docs.moodle.org/en/LDAP_authentication ? There is also a dedicated forum for Authentication https://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?id=42.
