Simple: You don't have to do anything. When someone post an entry, and the default approval status is NO, the entry becomes invisible to everyone but the owner and the teacher (in the approbal frame). This way, the teacher and the owner could have a private conversation prior to make it public.

I think there should be a falg or something that reset all comments once an entry has been approved....

About the private forum.. What about Ray's dialogue? I like it a lot... Tons of uses...
