Hi, I wanted to bring up Moodle's ability to let users search for courses. It seems like this would have been discussed but a forum search here was not turning up relevant results for me.
Anyhow, my institution has been using a custom course block plugin that just lists all of a users courses, separated by category. I really like the new course dashboard block in Moodle 3.6+ and want to transition away from the custom course block in the future. But, I have a couple of usability questions:
1) For "regular" users like students and teachers, it seems like a search filter in the block would be a no brainer addition. Yes, they can sort by future/current/past, and star or hide courses, which is great. But often a teacher might just want to quickly jump to a specific course that doesn't happen to be displayed in their current view.. Is there a way to suggest/vote for this feature in core?
2) For admin users, the custom course block has a global course search. I hid the block on my dashboard and find myself missing this functionality. The quickest way I've found is to go to Site Admin->Courses->Manage Courses and Categories, where there is Course Search field. I tried adding this page to my Admin Bookmarks but it doesn't seem to be possible. Surely there is a quicker, built-in way to get to course search? Or should I look for another plugin.
