Hi everyone, is there a way to display a specific statement to users who are suspended instead of the generic "Invalid login" message?

This is something we've recently done with this situation. When a users attempts to log in and is redirected to that Invalid Login page/message, they will see a "Forgotten your username or password?" link: there is a setting that allows the admin to decide what URL that link directs a user to. If you create some external page, you can then have it display something like "If you forgot your password, please contact so-and-so. However, Suspended users and Inactive users cannot log into Moodle -- to see if you're account has been deactivated, please contact so-and-so."

Hi Arthur, this is something that would be very useful for us as well. Someone that can't log in should be able to know whether or not their account was suspended or if they just forgot their password.

For example, at our school, students should contact tech support if they are having typical login issues, but need to talk to a school administrator if their Moodle account is suspended (often for academic or attendance reasons).
