Hi,

I probably not find the right documentation (I don't want a t-shirt smile, just because you don't have my size ).
But I would like to know how to make a bug fix in the Moodle core.

For instance, they've this issue.
(now, it's marked as duplicate of https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-66458)
I see in the duplicate one that someone already solve it...

I thought that was a good one to start.
I fork the Moodle projet to my git, fixed the 'bug' and commit it. (I was so proud smile )
But I suppose it's not enough! I don't know if I can do it and If I've to do something in the Moodle Tracker ?
But I would like to know if they've a document 'How to make a bug fix in Moodle from the Moodle tracker'.

I read that https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Tracker_guide#When_editing_an_issue  I understand the workflow but now how to participate...

Thanks in advance and sorry if they've already x forums about it.

Dominique.
(I understand very quickly but you've to explain it for long...)

Hi Dominique, here's a good place to start: https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Process

P.S. MDL-66458 is already in the integration review stage, so you might have to choose a different issue to work on smile

Hi Paul,

thank you very much Yes.

Reading it give me information to start and going to there.
https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Tracker_guide#Tracker_groups_and_permissions
(People wishing to join the Developers group should be able to demonstrate a history of contributing patches to issues. To be added to the Developers group, please send an email to integration@moodle.com with your tracker username and links to issues where you have contributed patches.)

I want to start with simple things.
I don't want to give more work to the community : )

Have a nice day.

Dominique
