Automated Backups to SMB share not listed in Restore

We have configured moodle to save Automated Course Backups to a mounted SMB share that is mounted on our Ubuntu server.

Automated Backup Settings

This seems to be working according to the backup report.

And we can see the files when we browse to the SMB share.

Share Location Files

However, we cannot access these files from the Course Restore location.

Restore Auto Backup

All we see here are Automated Backup Files that were saved LOCALLY to the server in 2016.  We don't see the 2019 files that were created and saved to the mounted location.

We can manually add these files by selecting Manage Backup files and browsing to the individual file location, but this is not desired.

Is there something we need to do to get these files to show in the Course Restore area once the Automated Backup to the share is complete?

Turn on file system repository.

in moodledata/repository/ create a mount point for your SMB share by a name like 'coursebackups' ... or a symlink called 'coursebackups' that points to your SMB mount.

You do then have to turn on file system repo in at least one course to view the coursebackups repo.
