I want to know if the iOS version of Moodle Mobile app uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging system.

In the project folder both google-services.json (For Android version) & GoogleServices-Info.plist (For iOS version) are available.

Yes, both versions use Firebase for Push notifications.
