Will enrolling a Cohort overwrite an already enrolled student?

Will enrolling a Cohort overwrite an already enrolled student?

Hi,

I have a course with about 400 enrolled students and I wish to enroll another batch of students from newly created cohort.

My question is this: if a student is in the new cohort but is already enrolled (and has completion data) will that data be overwritten or will the student's enrollment with the new cohort be ignored by the system because they are already enrolled?

Thanks!

The enrollment with the new cohort will be ignored by the system because they are already enrolled.
You can test this by adding one of the existing student to a Test cohort and then link the cohort to the course.
On the Participants list, the student will be displayed with two enrollment methods. On hover over, one will be the original Enrollment method, the other will be the Test Cohort.
