All BBB recordings have dissapeared, RecordingsBN option no longer showing

Hi,

As of last week the recordings of BigBlueButton sessions were showing on my course. Now they have disappeared. I tried adding the RecordingsBN resource that used to show up before, but I can't see it as an option anymore when I try to add a new activity/resource. I tried the option to add a BigBlueButton activity with the "Recordings only" option, but none of the recordings I had are showing up and I don't know where to find them. I'm a course administrator and our course is hosted on MoodleCloud. I would really appreciate the help!

Hi Fred.

We are in the same situation as Melissa. Our BBB recordings have dissapeared in Moodle. We show them in BBB server, but Moodle does not show links to recordings.

We would really appreciate the help!

I had the same issue here. Recordings appeared just fine after the session but a few days later they just disappeared... I don't know why!

Hello Fred. I have the exact same issue after upgrading the BBB Plugin to version 2.3.3. Our recordings have disappeared. Additionally, new meeting recordings do not appear despite the fact that we can see (using bbb-record --watch) that the recordings are properly created. Any solution at hand?

I believe I am having the same issue. However, I am new to using BBB in MoodleCloud and I am unsure where the recordings usually appear. Could someone show me via screenshots where the recordings would normally appear?

We seem to be having the same problem. Can you offer a solution to it please?

My line manager sent me this info:

Need to try and see if i can resolve this BBB group problem. Basically, if I make a course group-enabled all the BBB recordings disappear. Unfortunately, if I can't resolve this everyone will keep getting all the emails, which is a massive pain for them (I looked, they do get loads).

Any ideas?

In our issue (the one from S Warner above) we had force mode enabled for groups, which had the net result of hiding all recordings - even if "any participant option was chosen - presumably because no group was tagged onto the recording. We removed force groups and also changed the activity to either visible groups or no groups - and the recordings showed up. We have since not opted for group mode per se but use the restricted Access option to limit who can join (image attached).

One of the recordings of BigBlueButton sessions of last weekend (Saturday, 9th may) is not publised on my course. I'm a course administrator and our course is hosted on MoodleCloud. I would really appreciate the help!

In an attached file you can see that it was recorded, but the recording has never been published in the BigBlueButton. It would need to be published as soon as possible. Please help. Thank you

Hi Fred, I've had exactly the same issue.

I had multiple BBB room recordings within a course that have disappeared. I'm not sure why, but I did change the structure of the course to allow for groups to be formed.

I've lost 3 recordings so far.

Have you tried to change group settings for your BBBN activity? I had the same problem and it was because the BBBN activity was made before enabling groups and I had enforce group mode on as well. As soon as I removed groups for the BBBN activity they came back.

Dear all,

I am a new user of moodle and also bbb for about 3 months now. Every week I record the online colleges for the student with internet problems.

So this morning I was suprised to get an txt message from a student who is bussy with her takehome assignment, saying that the recordings of monday, 27th july are no longer there. I verified that and to my great shock I noted that literally alll the recordings are gone except that of the yesterday evening.

Why do the recordings disappeared? Can someone tell me how I can fix this problem step by step?

This problem has already appeared on other forums. It happened to me last week and the videos came back when I rebooted the BBB server

Do you have a link for me on how to reboote the BBB server? Will I be able to do it? I'm working in the system a school established. Should they reboote the BBB server? They just gave me a moodle account, and that is what I am working with. How did you reboote the BBB server?

Ask your sys admin to reboot the BBB server. He will know what to do.
