+1 to Howard's advice/suggestion.

Core themes have changed in 3.7.x.   Clean is not among the core 3.7.x themes.

Suggest adding a line to config.php:

$CFG->theme='boost';

And manually purging the caches in /moodledata/cache ... that's moodledata/cache.

Those will be rebuilt as site is used, but this time using boost theme.

Strongly suggest, then, going to plugins where you can remove a theme and remove 'clean'.

Thank you for your answer...I will need help as I'm in trouble  smile

=>

So I added the line :$CFG->theme='boost';

I manually purged the caches...

As a result :

1/ the boost theme appeared but my id were not anymore recognised...(I don't get it as it should not be linked)

2/So, I retrived the boost line in the config file to see if I could  login with the usual theme: it worked

3/ I used the admin panel to change the theme to boost

4/ I cleared the theme cache

5/ I went back to my courses to check the way it behave

NEW pb : I could not get the  turn on the edit button on the page, nowhere.

6/ I logged out to check my teacher account

7/ Surprise : my teacher's id were not regognised, I could not log in...

8/ I tried once again the admin account...and I'm back to square 1 : I can't log in with my id under the boost theme and I can't change it anymore as I'm out of control, I have no access to the admin panel.

Any idea?

Edit : if I press the forgotten password link, I get the classical email, I can change my pass, I can get it but after the first logout I can't get in...

Edit2 : So, clicking on the forgotten password button, I can get an email allowing me to size my password once again; I can get in.
I created a new administrator so see if the pb could be solved with new ids...I purged all the caches with that new id...I checked all the functions...no pb
BUT each time I log out, my ids don't work and I have to use the "forgotten password" safety buoy to log in...
How could I get around that issue?
