A bit of background on my request. One of our Moodle clients is planning to start implementing the Moodle Mobile Application as part of their course roll-outs, but they need a few things changed before hand.
I'm currently trying to set up a list of things that can and can't be changed and so far it's going very slowly. I understand that the mobile theme can be adjusted and that the non-core activity icons are pulled from the web service, whereas the core icons are pulled from the mobile applications assets directory. I was wondering if anyone knows of or has a list of things that can and can't be changed externally to effect what is seen on the mobile application?
I'm currently using (https://mobileapp.moodledemo.net/) to find specific css tags for elements so we know what to set in our custom css theme, but other things like specific wording being displayed on buttons I'm not sure if those are pulled from the web service, or if they are also part of the mobile language pack? Simple example would be the "Post to Forum" button. I've gone and adjust the display text on the clients server, but I'm not sure if that text is being pulled through to the app or not. I've restarted Apache and re-logged into the site via the mobile app, but it still displays the same "Post to Forum" text. I'm not sure if the mobile display text is cached and hasn't updated with the new changes, thus pulled from the web service language pack or if it's pulled from a mobile language pack without actually seeing the mobile applications code.
So in short if there is anyone who knows where I can find an easy way to view the applications code or has a list of things that can and can't be adjusted I would much appreciate the help.
