I am currently working on a course which starts with information for everyone and then at a decision point I want to be able to have students take a pathway for elementary teachers and a different pathway for secondary teachers. The main content difference will be the examples presented. How can I do this in one Moodle course?
If you are able to install plugins then the Group choice plugin is a good way to do this. Students make a choice and are put into a group and then you use Restrict access conditions to display materials for each group so a student only sees the group of their choice. The Learn Moodle 3.7 Basics MOOC running at the moment does this.
Thank you Mary. When I first looked at choice in the Learn Moodle it seemed there was this option. Now it does not seem to be there.
The option to Choose how to progress through the course is still there on the top section of the Learn Moodle 3.7 MOOC Linda.
I see that Mary, and I was referring to the group choice option to use in the design of the practice course, where I am trying to give two pathways for the participants.
Thank you Otaku, I will look into this option.
