Adding a plugin to Global Search Areas list

Moodle version: 3.6.3

My moodle site uses Solr as the Global search engine and I have noticed that the activity/plugin Dataform does not come under the search areas which the search engine covers. Hence none of the documents or data fields added to Dataform gets indexed and hence does not appear in Global search. 
Is there any way I can add Dataform to the list of plugins/activities that Global search covers?

Hi Shibin, you could post a comment in the Dataform's plugin page, requesting if the maintainer could add global search capability if possible?

if you're a developer yourself, you could use the Moodle Developer Docs Search API page here to get an idea of how to code it yourself, and check which other third-party plugins have implemented it and use them as samples and then of course you could contribute it back to the dataform plugin code, or perhaps get a Moodle Partner to develop it for you.
