The only thing that has changed in the last couple of weeks is that I upgraded my computer (new computer). Because of the upgrade, I had to reinstall all of my software. In order to simplify the process, I downloaded and installed XAMPP Control Panel Application (Ver. 2.1). This allowed me to install Appache, MySql, and FileZilla on my harddrive at the same time. PHP is provided for me by my domain host, www.yourdomainhost.com, and I am not sure what version it is; however, it has worked in the past.
I would appreciate any and all help in this matter,
When you say you went to the "main Moodle site" I assume you mean moodle.org. When your browser is pointing to moodle.org you are not going to be able to get a password for yourdomainhost.com. My suggestion would be to try to login to your site as you always have, when you get to the page which says "Invalid login, please try again" there should be a button further down that page that says "send my details via email" click that button and hopefully you will receive your password by email.
From the way you describe your setup I don't think you are using XAMPP to run your Moodle site on your new computer. Meaning that only your browser is interacting with your Moodle.
Hope this helps
All seems to be in order, the Test Student is part of the class.
I'm at a loss.
Almost sounds like a firefox issue, have you tried clearing the saved passwords in Options/Privacy/saved passwords?
Also try clearing cookies.
If I ask the software to send the Test Student an email with a new password, it defaults to the email address of the teacher and not the Test Student.
The last user's email is stored in a cookie, clearing cookies should clear the email field, but an easier solution is just to put the test student's correct email in the "Email address" field in the send a new password form
Maybe something in the core of the install is broken?
Many thanks again!
