I have a few questions on gradeable activities and quizzes.
Basically, I have a professor here who is concerned because she created a quiz with a specific due date and time frame in which the quiz was supposed to be completed. According to her, she hid the item after creating it, and started receiving emails from students saying that they had a conflict with the date. So now she is paranoid that the students are seeing her create these items as she doing it in real time.
I told her that they may have been on their dashboard and saw the quiz show up as an upcoming event. That is the only thing I could think of that happened. I told her that during the creation of an item, a student wouldn't be able to know that. My question is, what is the process that a student sees in terms of items that have a due date associated with them? Do they get an email notifying them once that assignment or quiz is created? Do they receive an email reminding them when that assignment or quiz is coming up? I wasn't aware of either of these questions, I thought the only notification that the student was given was if they looked on their dashboard and saw the item as an upcoming event.
Hopefully I can get some insight on this on here. I appreciate your help in advance!
