We  are currently using durpal 7 for the backend and moodle for font end of our Moodle LMS.  We want to retire durpal and use moodle only for both frontend and backend? Anyone has ever tried it ?

 Appreciated any suggestion

You'll need to explain this in more detail. Both are completely standalone applications. Moodle, certainly, doesn't work as a "front end".

Actually we were able to come up with a solution for front end.  Just created a simple page . However previously we have used durpal for the backend and we want it to retire durpal and start using moodle instead

So you are using Drupal to create materials and then linking to them from Moodle? Is that what you mean?

This is a strange thing to do. What advantage does this give you that using Moodle on its own does not?

I think you mean the opposite maybe?  Drupal is front end and Moodle backend?  You can use Moodle for everything...

Now we are trying to use Moodle for both. Do you think we can export courses and import them to moodle without having to change anything?

Hi

I can't make out how exactly Drupal could be a "backend" for Moodle. In most of the applicastions Moodle is the backend.

Sure, everybody who uses Moodle only, use it for all ends.
wink

Is your question How to phase out Drupal and bring Moodle to its place? URL-wise?

P.S. Allowed myself to correct some typos: durpal -> Drupal, font end -> front end.
