"There is no need to include languages other than the default English, as almost all approved plugin strings will be automatically imported into AMOS for translation by the language packs translators."

Or if you are unhappy with the current translations, you could always join the Translators group and help translate strings more accurately, rather than hack code. I am sure Koern would love for you to join them, be easier too I suspect.
