Hi Deborah,

Have you correctly run the post installation process of updating the Moodle database after installing the plugins? Have you considered purging caches and then retrying? The purge caches bit can be run from Site admin > Development > Purge caches (or ../admin/purgecaches.php). 

What course format are you trying to use? If it’s not a core plugin, it may pay to contact the developer of it. In any case, there’s the Courses and course formats forum to consult as well: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?id=47

Also, if you found it running correctly in Boost but not in Fordson, consider contacting the Fordson developer or posting in the Themes forum: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?id=46

Is there any breaking JavaScript on the course edit page where you change the format of the course?
