Desktop login error - version.php is missing

Hi

I get an error when trying to log in to the desktop app

"Coding error: version.php file is missing for the component mod_certificate"

I'm running:

  • Windows Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134
  • Moodle server 3.5.3 
  • Current desktop version 3.6.0. 

Are there any requirements for matching Moodle desktop version to the server version?

Hi,

it seems that you didn't properly install a plugin (certificate one).

Please, review the mod/certificate folder to check if the version.php file is missing (or has incorrect permissions) and log-in as administrator into your site to fix the plugin installation
