I'm trying to use multiple languages for Moodle LMS but I'm facing some issue in different languages, one of these issues is navbar menu (Custom menu items) I added my custom menu in English but I want to add french menu for the French translation when user change the language for the LMS and automatically change the menu into French
what is the solution for that issue?
and the same question for the site home and footer how can add multi-language for it
There is a multilang filter available, for just this purpose. It would take some testing, but the multilang filter does work with your scenario, if you follow the instructions in Site administration > Appearance > Theme settings > Custom menu items.
The correct order of things in your custom menu would be:
Display name|url|Title for mouse over|language
That should do the trick.
hii Joost Elshoff,
i already used that way as you mentioned
Display name|url|Title for mouse over|languagebut my question how to add translation filter to them!!
check the LMS i working on it to see what i mean
here's the link: http://platform-test.site/gvc-moodle/my/
how to add translations for titles in the home page and custom menu in the top , etc.
First of all, there's no need to use an extensive number of exclamation points when asking a question, with an answer given freely, as it might turn people off from helping you. Etiquette goes a long way in, after all.
That being said, your custom menu items should look something like this:
CPA|CPA url|CPA title in Spanish|es
-Uno|One url|One title in Spanish|es
-Dos|Two url|Two title in Spanish|es
-Tres|Three url|Three title in Spanish|es
There's quite a clear description of this below the box where you set your custom menu items, so that should not be too difficult.
You do need to have the multilang filter enabled sitewide for this to work.
